Universal Dual Air Gap with Long Body Thread with 1/2-inch MIPT and 5/8-inch OD Inlets and 7/8-inch OD Outlet (AG200-010 AMERIGAP)

A dishwasher air gap provides safe drainage of the discharge water into a garbage disposal drain. The plumbing code requires the dishwasher air gap in most states. Using a dishwasher or an RO system without an air gap is not recommended. The AG200-010 universal dual air gap is designed for use with double-drawer dishwashers. It features two inlets and one outlet, connecting to a 7/8-inch inside diameter hose that directs discharge water to the side drain connection of a garbage disposal or a drain line adapter. The inlets are compatible with standard 5/8-inch inside diameter hoses from a dual dishwasher or single dishwasher and water softener. One inlet includes 1/2-inch threads to fit a 1/2-inch MIPT threaded adapter with a 5/8-inch barb. The AG200-010’s maximum flow rate is 10 gallons per minute (GPM). The maximum flow rate through this air gap is the highest flow rate above which the air gap will overflow. The air gap is dry on the outside at the maximum flow rate. This air gap is easy to install, easy to use, and easy to maintain. The AG200-010 air gap is UPC and IPC listed.

Hoses should remain kink-free for optimal water flow, allowing both dishwasher sides to operate simultaneously. This air gap is compatible with all dual dishwashers.
• ❤ OUTLET PORTS: The drainage side of the air gap connects to a 7/8-inch inside diameter hose, which routes discharge water to the side drain connection on the garbage disposal. This hose is available from Home Depot (search for “PVC Disposal Discharge Hose”). When installing this hose, make sure that there is no sagging or loops. Any sagging creates standing water and restricts the air gap’s proper draining. Secure both ends of the hose with a 1-inch stainless steel worm clamp (not included).

The countertop thickness can be up to 1-3/4 inches, and no special modifications are required to accommodate this air gap.
